Marcelina aka Marce Piña, fell in love with the ocean at a very young age despite growing up in a landlocked town in west Germany. At the age of 19 she packed her bags, moved to Costa Rica and started surfing in Playa Guiones. Many years later Marce went back to school in Germany to become a professional carpenter and pursue her dream of making hollow wooden surfboards in Nosara.

Since 2019 she has been sharing her passion for woodworking and surfboards in workshops with like-minded fellow surfers.
